I truly miss the good old days when SUVs are designed to be superbly large and tough. Due to the latest climate changes, car manufacturers are racing to produce environmentally friendlier vehicles with less powerful engines and compact form. Car news and updates are filled with hybrids and economical 2010 models. I’m not against the efficiency; in fact, I look forward to some of the Toyota cars released in 2010, including the Prius II that I plan on purchasing earlier next year. Still, I miss the days when I drove my truck with pride.

Luckily, Dodge will be answering my prayers with the 2010 Dodge Ram Heavy Duty. I fall in love at the first sight; this SUV is every man’s imagination being made available. I personally love the double-cabin model, with strong yet flexible suspension and huge set of tires that will make going off-road that much more enjoyable. Approximately 3,500 cc of engine capacity for the Heavy Duty version — 2,500 cc for the regular street version alternative — is installed under the hood; the car packs more power than you will ever need, even in the toughest terrain with lots of obstacles. The price tag? More or less $30,000; highly affordable and reasonably worth every penny.
